  2. When does practice and games start?
For U-8 through U-19 practices start in early August depending on the choice of the coach.  U-6 does not practice. Games for U-8 through U-12 begin in early September and continue into mid-November.  For U14 through U19, games begin in mid-August and end before school soccer leagues in late October.

  3. How are teams formed?
    D
ivision U8 through U19 teams are formed based upon team balance as best as that can be determined.  That is, players of different skill levels and experience are divided among teams in an attempt to ensure that all teams have equal chances to compete evenly throughout the season  This ensures maximum player development.  .In order to maintain team balance, we are unable to accommodate requests for placement on specific teams, with specific coaches, or with friends.  Teams in Division U6 are formed randomly.  Division U5 is unique and does not have actual teams but players are divided into playing groups.  Teams are also not formed by neighborhood or school.  Players may not necessarily be on teams with other players that they already know.  AYSO considers the mix of players an opportunity  to form new friendships and learn new skills from different players and coaches.  Head coaches may request that they be assigned one assistant coach  but may not specifically request which assistant coach is assigned.  All coaches have the option of having their children, in that age division, play on their team.  In all divisions, AYSO does not have coed teams.  All teams are designated boy or girl.
